Portugal’s Golden Visa has attracted one of the highest number of foreign investors in terms of purchase of real estate. With the purchase of real estate property with a least value of 350,000 EUR, the investor is issued with a Temporary Residence Permit. This Temporary Residence Permit must be renewed after 1 year, and then, every 2 years. After 5 years of this temporary residency, clients can apply for Citizenship.

Please note 7 days of minimum stay is required for each year in the period of 5 years (within which the client has the Temporary Residence Permit).

Other than purchase of real estate property, the investor can get the Temporary Residence Permit and Portuguese Passport by opening a new company and hiring 10 local citizens.
